So what’s the big idea?
I’ve been working on the idea of an interactive wellbeing channel for just over a year now. One that combines community, collaboration and a way to deliver fascinating health and wellbeing content, through both video as well as face-to-face educational talks and workshops. Balancing our work and home lives is proving increasingly difficult, with 54% of the UK saying that stress and anxiety levels are increasing. And in the workplace, by 2025 more than 75% of the workforce will be made up of millenials. 54% of millenials are stressed, more than in any previous generation. Doctors don’t have the time to truly understand what the root cause of many health issues are, so stress builds up, depression and addictions can occur and people feel frustrated, lost and left alone to deal with their problems. Learn Shed is a place where you can learn more about yourself on your own terms. We’re devoted to giving you back control of your mind and body and offer fascinating insights into new ways of thinking and being.
It seemed to me incredibly difficult to gain in-depth knowledge on both mainstream, as well as alternative, health and wellbeing subjects. At best, the information is fragmented. So in response, we’ve developed a way of delivering fascinating subject matter in a unique format that’s easy and entertaining to watch and understand. Through both curiosity and the search for answers to my own health issues over the past 15 years, I’ve come across some amazing doctors, teachers, nutritionists, therapists and health experts. Those who have helped ordinary people, as well as celebrities and even prime ministers, get back to wellness when all else has failed. Now we’re working with them to create fascinating in-depth workshops, talks and courses that inspire both inside the workplace as well as out. This has only been made possible through collaboration with some incredible businesses, experts as well as many others who passionate and who also share this vision.
Changing lives sounds like a serious challenge, but making this concept fun, engaging and interactive for both our community as well those involved in making it happen, is hugely important to me. We’re just at the start of this journey and it will take time to get Learn Shed fully loaded with amazing workshops and content that may just change your life, but we’re working on it. I hope you like what you see and that you’ll join us on this journey into helping people, perhaps like yourself, to heal, be inspired and find a new way to work, live and thrive.
